Li-Fi GigaDock®

Li-Fi GigaDock® offers data transmission with light over short distances and high data rates. It is particularly suitable for industrial applications. In the context of Industry 4.0, in which ever greater amounts of data are being transmitted, the Li-Fi GigaDock® is suitable for transmission over short distances and a maximum data rate of 12.5 Gbps. Low latencies also enable use in applications with tough real-time requirements. GigaDock is ahighly integrated, minaturized component, which can be implemented in a standard SMD process.

GigaRotate Evaluation Kit

The GigaRotate Evaluation kit can be used to test optical data transmission between rotating parts up to 1500 RPM

SmallSats Connectivity Module

To increase the sustainability of satellite systems, future designs should follow a modular approach that allows individual components to be replaced, thereby extending the satellite’s operational lifetime. To ensure seamless interfaces between such components, the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems IPMS has developed a transceiver that enables reliable data transmission. This transceiver has been integrated into the iBOSS GmbH interface and has been undergoing testing aboard the International Space Station (ISS) since February 2022.
