During your studies, you lay the foundation for your future career - and we support you. In addition to your theoretical bachelor's, master's or diploma studies, you can gain your first practical experience as part of a thesis, an internship or as a student assistant. With Fraunhofer's excellent reputation and excellent professional and practical support, as well as your first independent tasks, you will be optimally prepared for your future career.

Theses

You want to start with the thesis for your university or (technical) college studies and are looking for a practical partner? We offer numerous positions in a wide variety of fields, such as engineering, technology, physics or business administration. You are also welcome to contact us with your own topic.

You should consider the following points for an optimal start:

  • Your bachelor's, master's or diploma studies are coming to an end.
  • Your thesis/your topic is recognized by your university or department.

Internships

With an internship at Fraunhofer IPMS you get the optimal balance between theory and practice, science and business. Please have a look at our current vacancies to see if there is a thematic area for your course of studies.

You should consider the following points for an optimal start:

  • A maximum period of three months for a voluntary internship.
  • Information (e.g. time frame) from your university for your mandatory. internship

Working as a student assistant

We are happy to accompany you during your studies with exciting tasks and projects as well as interesting practical insights. With a position as a research assistant with us, you will gain practical work experience beside your studies, which can be an important ticket to the job market.

You should consider the following points for an optimal start:

  • You are at least in the third semester of your studies at a university or university of applied sciences.
  • You can work up to 19 hours per week or a maximum of 85 hours per month during the lecture period and up to 39 hours during the semester break. However, the working hours are individual and therefore formulated more concretely in each job advertisement.
