Postdoctoral researcher with the Department of Electrical Engineering, NCKU
Ankit Agarwal received the B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Vel Tech Institute of Technology, Chennai, India, in 2015, and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, in 2019. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from NCKU, Tainan, Taiwan, in June 2025. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher with the Department of Electrical Engineering, NCKU. His research focuses on HfO2-based ferroelectric devices for cryogenic memory and quantum and neuromorphic computing applications, including FeFETs, ferroelectric tunnel junctions, and hybrid superconducting–ferroelectric systems. His interests also include cryogenic characterization of MOSFETs, device fabrication, TCAD simulations, and superconducting and silicon spin qubits for quantum applications.
Associate Professor of Electronics at the University of Parma
Andrea Boni received the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Information technologies from the University of Parma, Italy, in 1993 and 1997, respectively.
He is currently an Associate Professor of Electronics at the University of Parma, where he heads the Analog and Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits Design Lab.
He has authored more than 100 scientific papers and holds two international patents.
His research activity is focused on the design of ultra low-power voltage references, integrated sensor nodes, sensor interface circuits, low-power analog circuits, and embedded electronic systems for electro-chemical sensors.
He was a co-founder of Silis, a company involved in the design of highperformance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
Director of the Institute for Applied Physics at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg
Johannes Heitmann holds a diploma (Univ. of Leipzig 1998) and a Ph.D. in Physics (MPI für Mikrostrukturphysik Halle 2003). During this time, he had half a year of work experience abroad at the Micro Analytic Research Center, School of Physics University of Melbourne, Australia. Later he was Senior Engineer for Material Development at Infineon / Qimonda AG Dresden (2004-2009) and Senior Scientist at the namlab gGmbH Dresden (2009-2010). Since 2010 he is Director of the Institute for Applied Physics at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and since 2016 he is in charge of the Fraunhofer Technolgy Centre Semiconductor Materials (THM-IISB) Freiberg. His research interests are in the field of (nano-) crystalline semiconductor materials for optical and electrical applications, nitride semiconductor devices and high-k materials for Si and nitride electronics.
Expert for semiconductor technology and device physics at Infineon Dresden
Wolfram Langheinrich is an expert for semiconductor technology and device physics at Infineon Dresden.
In 1993 he graduated with doctoral degree from RWTH Aachen in the field of high-resolution electron beam lithography and nanometer patterning. Subsequently, he was appointed as a Hitachi-Wolfson Fellow at the University of Cambridge, where his research was on single-electron devices. His industrial carreer started in 1996 at Siemens Semiconductor in Munich and later at Infineon in Dresden, where he worked on CMOS, embedded non-volatile memories and embedded sensors. Currently, his main activity is in quantum technology.
Member of Technical Staff with imec
Anne Vandooren received her M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineer from the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium in 1996 and her Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 2000. She worked for Motorola (later spun off as Freescale Semiconductor Inc.) until 2007 in the APRDL department where she conducted advanced research on SOI-based fully depleted devices including planar single-gate and multi-gate transistors. She is currently a Member of Technical Staff with imec in Belgium where she has been involved in the design, characterization and integration of novel transistors, and more specifically on sequential and monolithic 3D CFET device stacking in the LOGIC program. She authored and co-authored more than 200 papers in technical journals and international conferences, as well as 20 patents.
Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Engineering for Innovation at University of Salento
Antonio Zappatore received the M.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering (Microelectronics track) from the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2022. From 2023 to 2024, he was a research fellow with the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) at Politecnico di Torino. Since December 2024, he has been a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Engineering for Innovation at University of Salento, Lecce, Italy, in collaboration with Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), Trento, Italy. He served as Technical Program Committee member of the International Conference on Integrated Circuit Design and Technology (ICICDT) 2025. His research interests include the design of impedance spectroscopy CMOS interfaces and readout electronics for gas sensing applications.
