LIN core block diagram

The IPMS-LIN-IP core of the Fraunhofer IPMS supports the LIN specification 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2. The LIN (Local Interconnect Network) communication protocol for serial bus systems is mainly used in automotive applications, which require a lower bandwidth than CAN and is therefore comparatively cost-effective. The core is certified as ASIL-D-ready according to ISO26262 for functional safety in automotive applications. The LIN IP design can be integrated into ASICs and FPGAs.
