Sensors have become an indispensable part of our everyday lives. Almost every application benefits from microsensors that, for example, monitor temperature, predict maintenance cycles or measure movements. However, as wide-ranging as the field of application is, the requirements for the functionality and performance profile of the sensors are equally varied.  Commercial solutions do not meet the requirements, especially for special applications, such as in the automotive or medical technology sectors. They must be developed in close coordination with the planned use specific to the application.
